Exploring INDIA
In India I found a race of mortals living upon the Earth. but not adhering to it. Inhabiting cities, but not being fixed to them, possessing everything but possessed by nothing.
Apollonius of Tyana
This was quoted by Apollonius a Greek traveler, who existed even before Christ was born
The idea about blogging about my travels never occurred to me until i met Mr damodharan(http://sdbotany.blogspot.com/) a co passenger on my train journey to Goa.....
I got into the travelling business when i was in my college, this was basically because i loved to see new places and new people and now i organise college trips, corporate trips and package tours to ever place in India...
The most recent trip which i did was trip to Goa,this was with a college from bangalore
We started the trip from Bangalore and we headed to Pune(Queen of the Deccan) a city in maharashtra it is here that the Past meets the Present it is one of the rare cities with a twin image that of a tradition bound place and that of a modern industrial metropolis...
the city is not so gud in hygiene but it is ok compared to others cities which are even more worst... the only place of real interest i suggest for u people to see is the rock cut temple of pataleshewar ...it is 8th century temple situated in the heart of the city it is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva
The circular Nandhi mantapa at Pataleshwara temple
The stone passage way at the temple
The Shiva Lingam at the temple
After the visit to the temple...we went back to our hotel..after the dinner was done we had it and all the student started a game a anthakshare(it is a game which involves singing and dancing).. seeing the students having fun made me happy tht the trip that i organised was going on well and the students wer happy...it also made me miss my college life....
The next morning we checked out of the hotel and left for Mumbai
Mumbai
The city that makes your dreams come true
It makes your dream come true but it wil make your life miserable, the traffic in this city really sucks and the heat and pollution is very high, but there is this unusually feeling about this city tht makes it the destination of everyone who wants to make something big in his life..it here wer the Indian film industryis situated, one of the largest film production Centre in the world, wher nearly 20000 songs are composed ...every yr....this is also the financial capital of india ....
yup tht was about mumbhai..
it was four hours journey from pune to mumbhai...but it cost us nearly 2 hrs to just park our Bus in MUMBHAI...everybody was pissed by the time we parked our BUS...as no body had had thr breakfast yet and it was quiet hot...after breakfast everything was back to normal ...
now we started our sight seeing of mumbhai
we started first by going to the GATE WAY OF INDIA
This was built to commemorate the visit of King George and Queen Mary to INDIA before the independence of INDIA from the British Rule
this is a symbol of INDIA which acts a welcoming symbol to the world
After the visit to the GATE WAY OF INDIA,we moved on to see the THE TAJ...yes the Taj wer there was the terrorist attack last yr...This hotel is wer u can see a part of indian culture.. here in India a visitor is considered no less than a god.. during the attack of the terrorist from pakisthan the staff of the hotel scarified there there lives to protect the lives of the guest present in the hotel...
THE TAJ(during the night)
it was nearly 12 by the time we left to see the elephanta caves,it is situated in the arabian sea on an island called Elephanta island....the island is somewat like a temple buith in the honour the hindu god Shiva
its a quiet a beautiful place to be in mumbai away from the traffic and pollution
after the visit to the caves we came back to mumbai and went shopping at a place called fashion street, this market is somewat like a flea market only thing is that u get all new stuffs at throw away prices....
after the shopping we left for Goa after having dinner....
Goa
We arrived at Goa at 7.30 early in the morning,we had made the resort a bit far from the city because it gave some privacy to party ,goa is famous for Partying ...paradise on earth....
Goa is also famous for the churches built by the Portuguese when they colonized India pre independence there is nothing about more to write about Goa as it is better to see than tell because the beauty of the place can never be described in words

hmmm after 5 days of heavy Partying and njoying we returned back to Bangalore with a heavy hangover
If in anybody has the idea of visiting pls be free to contact me regarding India and the places to see .
we wil take care of everthing....
